About KMS
The KIIDD Advanced Mass Spectrometry Facility (KMS) provides proteomics services and consultation for The Chinese University of Hong Kong research communities. Off-campus projects from academic institutions or private companies are accepted, as well.
The Kobilka Institute of Innovative Drug Discovery (KIIDD) is a state-of-the-art biomedical research institution affiliated with School of Medicine, CUHK(SZ). The KIIDD utilize comprehensive and cross-disciplinary tools to empower its scientists to explore new pathways to drug discoveries in several therapeutic areas. Everyone at KIIDD shares the same value that the best discoveries will originate from bringing diverse ideas, approaches, and people together to address scientific challenges in creative ways.
The facility is equipped with several high-performance instruments, including a state-of-the-art FTMS instrument (Orbitrap Eclipse; Thermo Scientific), with nano-LC and nano-ESI ionization. We apply state-of-the-art LC-MS analysis, native MS and bioinformatics tools for identifying and quantifying peptides and proteins, including their post-translational modifications and identification of endogenous ligands. The facility also has instrumentation for automated hydrogen-deuterium exchange (HDX-MS), proximity labeling (PL) and chemical crosslinking (XL-MS) experiments for structural studies of proteins. We are happy to answer your questions and can also arrange a personal meeting, where we can discuss your MS-project in detail.
